Our Breeding Program
At Our Cattery, we have chosen to become a very small cattery. We prefer to have only the number of selkirk cats that can be well cared for and individually loved. A smaller number of queens results in healthier, happier, well-adjusted, and more social selkirk rex kittens. We also move ahead with our breeding program quickly and do not overbreed our queens; they deserve to have a happy house cat life for most of their lives.A larger cattery with eight, ten, twelve, or more queens is a commercial cattery, and the conditions and attention given to each selkirk rex cat can become stressful and minimal.
